Getting Here
Getting to Cloud 9 Motel is heavily dependent on having a car, as is the rest of Los Angeles. It sits just off the I-605 (San Gabriel River Freeway), near Washington Blvd. exit. That makes it very easy to reach if one happens to be somewhere within the maze of freeways that crisscross LA County trying all possible routes between points A and B. From LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) this drive can take anywhere from thirty minutes to over an hour depending on how much love traffic has for Los Angeles that day or any particular time period in general. The motel is easily visible from the street with its distinctive signage.
Public transport is an option but not a convenient one; the Metro Bus line 62 runs along Washington Boulevard, connecting you to downtown LA, but the journey is long and involves many stops. Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft are readily available in this area and are the best alternative if you do not have a rental car. It is worth noting that because the motel is geared towards drivers, pedestrian access to the lobby can sometimes feel like an afterthought, and walking around the area at night is generally not recommended for tourists.
