Quick Tips

If you decide to stay here, bring cash. The motel often asks for a cash deposit on the key and remote control (returned at checkout). This is common in places like this but can catch travelers off guard if they are relying solely on credit cards. You also check in standing outside, through a glass window. That’s your first hint at the level of interaction you’ll have with staff inside–efficient but guarded.

Also recommended is an immediate inspection of your room upon entry. Check the cleanliness of the sheets, bathroom, and Jacuzzi if you happened to have booked a room with one before you settle in. If something is unacceptable, request for a change of rooms immediately since quality varies significantly from one unit to another. Finally, bring your own toiletries-and maybe even a pair of shower shoes since amenities provided are very basic and general wear and tear-of the property means the carpets and floors may not be pristine.
